🇦🇺 Important notice for students travelling to Australia: ✈️ border reopening and 💉 vaccinations
TL;DR (too long; didn't read) summary: official channels (namely, Australian government run or government endorsed websites and information outlets) are the only authoritative news sources you should rely on.
Due to some hastily put together news articles posted by certain social media outlets in Nepal, we have been getting many confused queries from students who hold Australian student visas or want to go to Australia for higher studies.
Please note that an important component of being allowed to re-enter Australia is vaccinations and negative PCR report. Specifically, to be eligible to enter Australia, students must:
💉 Be fully vaccinated with a completed dosage of a vaccine approved or recognised by Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration
💉Hold a valid visa for one of the eligible visa subclasses
💉Provide proof of their vaccination status
💉Present a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days before departure.
